When new baseboards are installed (or existing ones remounted) to close the gap above your new floor, the baseboard often sits slightly lower than where it sat before. If the wall behind the original baseboard wasn't painted, or was painted while the baseboard was already in place, you may see a thin strip of unpainted or off-color wall just above the new baseboard. This is a wall-paint condition, not an install issue. Shoe mold (below) is the practical fix. Its slim profile sits flush against the baseboard and covers the strip with no touch-up paint required. Flagging it up front because it's a common condition, not because the install caused it.

Light subfloor prep (float under 1/4", dips, squeaks, a few popped fasteners) is included on every install. Major slab correction is a published +$2.25/sqft line and plywood subfloor replacement is $129 per sheet, both measured at the site visit and final at signing. If we lift your old floor and find something structural (water rot, joist work), we stop, show you what we're looking at, and give you a transparent quote for the additional work before another plank goes down. You decide whether to proceed. The possibility is disclosed in writing on every quote. Never sprung. Never inflated.
Because we run install as full-day work to the FloorFlash standard. Most full-home installs (1,200–2,000 sqft) finish in 1–3 days. That's what a crew working efficiently takes. The two-week timeline is what happens when a salesman over-promises, the install gets handed off to whoever's free that week, and nobody owns the schedule.

The workmanship warranty is in writing: 1 year on Standard Service, 2 years on Full Service (extended because Full Service bundles in premium trim, transitions, and baseboards that we want to stand behind longer).

Often, yes. That's Precision Install, and we welcome it; we'll even tell you where to buy. The difference is whose problem the material is. When we supply the floor, everything about the material is our problem, not yours: we calculate the quantities and waste, order it, haul it, acclimate it, eat the restocking risk if the count is off, replace damaged boards, and hand you a 25-year manufacturer warranty with our name on the paperwork. Bring your own floor and you save real money, and you own the math, the returns, and the warranty chase. Both are good deals. They are just different jobs.
FloorFlash isn't a flooring store. We're a flooring installation company. We don't sell planks in boxes; we sell finished floors. If you want material on its own, any flooring retailer will sell them to you and you can hire any installer to put them down.

Three disclosed lines, priced up front: tile, ceramic, or glued-down floor demolition (+$2.50/sqft), major concrete slab correction (+$2.25/sqft), and plywood subfloor replacement ($129 per sheet), all measured at the site visit and final at signing. Structural repair (water rot, joist work) is quoted in writing before any more work happens. We don't do drywall or full-wall paint; that's a different trade.
Yes, moving furniture out before demolition and back after install is included on every job, both directions. We treat your stuff like our own: drop cloths down, careful lifts, no dragging across new floor.
What we don't take on is liability for damage that surfaces later. Most of what gets noticed "for the first time" after a floor install was already there: a chip on the back of a dresser, a scratch nobody saw under a side table, a wobble that's been there for years. We're not the source. We'd be the easy one to blame. We draw that line up front because insuring against post-move claims would push the install price into "just hire a moving company first" territory, which is the right call if you need fully insured moves.
Your deposit secures your project. 75% at signing reserves your install date and triggers the materials order with our distributor, typically placed within 1–2 business days of deposit clearing. Once the order is placed, materials are allocated to your property and ship either way. That 75% is committed at the supplier on your behalf and isn't recoverable.
The remaining 25% before install day covers schedule and crew commitment through to install. Pay-in-full at signing is also an option (marked RECOMMENDED on every quote) and skips the second payment.
Everyone else needs a salesperson in your home before they'll show you a price. Ours is online, the estimator is online, the warranty is online. Samples come to you after you've picked. No pitch, no upsell, no four-figure swing between quote and invoice.

FloorFlash installs LVP at $8.49/sqft Standard Service or $10.49/sqft Full Service. A 1,350 sqft home is $11,462 Standard or $14,162 Full Service, final at signing. Both prices include premium LVP/SPC material, complete installation, demo of existing flooring, and haul-off. The only add-ons are the ones disclosed up front (tile or glue-down demo, major slab correction), measured at the site visit and final at signing. Service area covers 9 DFW counties including Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, and Rockwall.
Most FloorFlash installs complete in 1 to 3 days. Demo and haul-off of existing flooring happen the same day as install. Furniture is moved both directions by the install crew. The 1–3 day window covers single-material installs of 600 to 2,000 sqft. Multi-material projects (combining laminate downstairs with hardwood upstairs, for example) or stair-heavy scopes may extend to 3–4 days. Timing is set in writing at signing.

For a 1,350 sqft project the gap is roughly $4,725 Standard or $6,075 Full Service. Both floors carry the same 25-year manufacturer warranty. Hardwood typically lifts appraised home value at sale; LVP is more durable against moisture and dents. Glue-down installation is standard on hardwood and included in the rate.

Yes. Stair installation pricing (up to 16 steps): $2,199 for laminate, $2,999 for LVP/SPC, $4,299 for engineered hardwood. Treads, risers, stair noses, transitions all matched to the main floor. The two-tone white-riser staircase adds $1,000 flat across all three floors (laminate $3,199 / LVP/SPC $3,999 / hardwood $5,299). Curved or specialty staircases are quoted at site visit. Same final-pricing standard as the floor install.
Run the full math first. The $1.99 board on 1,000 sqft is $1,990, but the real bill adds waste and cuts (about 10%), underlayment and moisture barrier, slab patch and leveling compound, store delivery, market-rate install labor, demolition and haul-off, transitions, furniture moving, and it still comes with no workmanship warranty. Modeled at current store prices and DFW market labor, that stack lands around $7,014. Our laminate package at the same 1,000 sqft is $6,490, every one of those lines included, with a 1-year workmanship warranty and the 25-year manufacturer warranty in writing.
