We will
price match.

On comparable scope — locked at signing, documented in writing.

Bring us a real quote. We review it, match what qualifies, and lock the matched number into the same paper trail as the rest of your FloorFlash install. No theater. No "let me ask my manager." No bait pricing that disappears at the kitchen table.

What "installed" means.

When a DFW flooring company advertises "$5.99/sqft installed," ask: installed with what?

Most DFW headline rates cover material and installation labor only. The line items below are quoted separately, added at the site visit, or "estimated to change":

  • ×
Demolition of your existing floor ($0.70–$2.50/sqft on carpet, LVP, laminate. Higher on tile, ceramic, glue-down.)
  • ×
    Haul-off and disposal ($0.25–$0.75/sqft)
  • ×
Furniture moving ($20–$150 per room, sometimes one-way only)
  • ×
Subfloor prep, leveling, or moisture remediation ($0.50–$6.00/sqft when needed)
  • ×
Underlayment or vapor barrier (where it's not pre-attached — $0.25–$1.25/sqft)
  • ×
Premium baseboards (4–6") ($8.96–$13.71 per linear foot installed)
  • ×
Quarter round, shoe mold, transitions ($4–$10 per linear foot)
  • ×
Workmanship warranty (rarely offered — most DFW shops cover material only via the manufacturer)
  • ×
Jobs under 500 sqft (most DFW competitors have minimums)

Our "$11.49/sqft installed" covers every line on that list. The price-match policy below lets you bring us their headline quote — we'll show you the line-by-line scope gap on paper before we match. Sometimes the match number is bigger than their headline because it includes work their headline didn't.

01

The offer, plain.

Bring an actual quote document — PDF, email, or signed estimate — from a licensed, insured DFW-area contractor on comparable scope. We'll review the document, confirm scope parity, and give you the better offer in writing.

The match isn't always one-to-one. Sometimes we match the number to the dollar. Sometimes we beat it. Sometimes we match the number and add scope the competitor's quote left out — the demolition they didn't include, the haul-off they'd charge mid-project, the warranty they buried. The match is a floor on price, not a ceiling on what we'll do. We work to land in your price range with a deliverable you'd want signed.

The number locks at signing alongside the rest of your quote. Same paper trail. Same warranty. Same 1–3 day completion. The number you signed is the number on your invoice.

02

How to submit a quote.

  1. 1
Email or text us your competitor's written quote. Send the full document — PDF, scan, or photograph of the signed estimate — to reserve@floorflash.com or (972) 626-2419. We need the whole quote, not a screenshot of one line.
  2. 2
We review within 1 business day. We compare the competitor's scope against ours: same material grade, same demolition + haul-off, same baseboards / trim / transitions, same warranty terms in writing. We'll tell you what matches, what doesn't, and which (if any) gaps need closing for an apples-to-apples comparison.
  3. 3
If it qualifies, we issue a matched FloorFlash quote. Sent in writing as a single lump-sum number, with locked-at-signing language and warranty terms documented. You decide.
  4. 4
You sign with us at the matched number. The matched number locks at signing along with everything else. Once our number locks, it's the number on your invoice. We don't reopen settled deals.
03

What qualifies.

  • An actual document. PDF, email, or signed estimate — the full document, not a screenshot of one line, not a redaction of the contractor's letterhead, not a photo of a notepad. We need to see the contractor's name, license number where applicable, line-item scope, total, and date.
  • A licensed, insured DFW-area contractor. DFW-area means the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and immediately surrounding counties (Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Rockwall, Kaufman, Ellis, Johnson, Parker). The contractor must be able to show up at your property with insurance.
  • Comparable scope, line by line. Same material grade (laminate vs. laminate, LVP vs. LVP, hardwood vs. hardwood — and within material, comparable thickness and wear-layer). Same demolition and haul-off included. Same baseboards, trim, and transitions. Same warranty terms documented. If the competitor's quote leaves any of these out, we'll show you the gap and quote the actual comparable scope rather than match a stripped number.
  • Dated within 30 days. Flooring market pricing moves with material costs, distributor stock, and seasonal demand. Quotes older than 30 days don't reflect current conditions and aren't a fair comparison to a fresh quote.
  • Brought before you sign with FloorFlash. The match decision happens before our number locks. Once you've signed our quote, the number is locked — by design, in writing, on every contract. We don't reopen signed deals because someone walked into a different shop afterward. That's what "locked at signing" means, and it's why every customer chose FloorFlash to begin with.
04

What doesn't qualify.

  • ×
Verbal claims, screenshots, or "they said $X." If the other contractor wouldn't put their number on paper, we can't match it. Verbal-only quotes exist so the contractor can change them later — that's the live-bake we're here to push back against.
  • ×
"Today only" or other expiring promotional pricing. Numbers designed to evaporate the moment you push back are sales theater, not real bids. If the shop wouldn't honor it without you signing on the spot, we can't either.
  • ×
Out-of-market quotes. A contractor in Houston, Austin, or Oklahoma isn't operating in the DFW labor and material economy. We compete in the market we serve.
  • ×
Labor-only or BYO-material quotes against Full Service. Different scope, different math. If you want labor-only, we quote that as Precision Install — and we'll happily match other Precision Install bids on equivalent terms.
  • ×
Quotes brought after you've signed — or a second match on a single job. Once your number locks at signing, that's the number on your invoice. The match is one-time on a single qualifying quote. We don't reopen settled deals or chain matches; the lock works because the lock is the whole point.
  • ×
Below-market bait pricing. If a labor quote sits below what the work costs to deliver in the DFW market, that's a math problem the original shop can't honor. We may decline to match obvious bait. We'd rather lose your business than build it on a bid the other shop never intended to keep.
05

How we verify, plain.

  • Verification before we match. If the competitor's quote names a brand we don't recognize, we ask for the spec sheet to confirm comparable wear-layer or core construction. We verify the contractor's TDLR status and insurance. If a quote document looks edited or doesn't include verifiable contractor contact info, we contact the issuing shop directly. Our Core, Elite, and Dream tiers match within tier, not across tiers.
  • Scope discovery during the site visit. If our in-home assessment surfaces items the competitor's quote didn't address — subfloor damage, hidden conditions, unusual stair configurations — those get quoted in writing alongside the matched core scope, and lock at signing.
  • Policy version, retention, and final say. This price-match policy is effective May 2026 and may be updated; new submissions are evaluated under the policy in effect on the day they're submitted. We retain submitted quote documents and our written reviews for two years for dispute resolution and policy refinement; we don't share them with third parties. Final approval comes down to the discretion of the FloorFlash operations manager — not a sales rep, not a call center, not an algorithm. If we decline a match, we'll explain why in writing. You're free to take the original quote elsewhere; we'll be here when you're ready.
06

Everything documented, in writing.

When we match, you receive:

  • A revised FloorFlash quote with the matched number clearly noted
  • Scope summary confirming what's included (demolition, haul-off, trim, baseboards, transitions, warranty)
  • Locked-at-signing language identical to every other FloorFlash quote
  • Workmanship warranty terms (1 year on Standard install, 2 years on Full Service)
  • 25-year manufacturer warranty documentation on the materials

No fine-print exclusions, no asterisks at the bottom of the page, no "available upon request." Everything in writing, handed to you at signing, before a single plank goes down.

07

Real examples.

✓ Matched

Customer brings a written quote from a licensed DFW contractor: 1,400 sqft LVP at $14,500, all comparable scope listed (demolition, haul-off, baseboards, transitions, warranty in writing). Our standard quote was $15,800. We match to $14,500 and lock at signing. Invoice: $14,500.

× Declined (theater)

Customer brings a "today only — sign right now" half-price quote from a national chain salesperson. We can't match pricing the original shop wouldn't honor in 24 hours. Standard locked-at-signing quote stands — and the customer is welcome to take the "today only" deal if it's still there tomorrow.

↺ Adjusted (stripped scope)

Customer brings an $8,500 quote for 1,200 sqft laminate — no demolition, no haul-off, no baseboards. Our Core FS at the same square footage is $11,988 (everything in). We show the gap: competitor's true comparable-scope number lands at $11,800–$13,200 once demolition + haul-off + baseboards get added mid-project. We quote the realistic match as one all-in number. Customer decides.

× Declined (math problem)

Customer brings a labor quote for hardwood install priced below what the work costs to deliver in DFW. We decline. That's not a real bid, it's a customer-acquisition number the other shop will recover via mid-project surprises. Standard locked-at-signing quote stands.
